When ever i see shops closed i think they are probably closed for lunch and will be open soon, that is the feeling i get at the Vintage Fair location at the moment, when we wait for it to open, has shop owners slowly finish up their booth decor on the last hours before opening, the anticipation, and suspense is thick and palpable.
Every street seems quiet with the odd passerby, a blogger perhaps doing some last minute shopping, a designer finishing up small touches on their booth making sure everything is set up for sale and prices are set, a random organization member, looking for a small misplaced prim or board, almost everything is set up since only 3 hours are left before the fair opens, soon this beautiful empty streets and stores, built by Cory Edo owner of Trompe Loeil and also one of the Fair sponsors, will be filled with people, shoppers going thru every booth or jumping to their favourite shops.
In the meanwhile i just stand here, taking a few couple of pictures to show the whole area and Cory´s amazing work with mesh, with the usual quality we´ve come to expect, after all everyone is out for lunch, and soon they will come back, at 4 pm SL time to be more precise, and i will wait for them to start arriving, then quietly head back home while the rush hour fills the streets with joy, laughter and random chattering.
Get ready everyone, because August will be a month of Vintage Fair, retro, old times, as we celebrate a whole century of fashion in all it´s glory, have all a lovely weekend.
