Bring in the clowns

I did my usual event visit on sunday morning, which for me is always the best time for shopping, most of the US folks are still asleep, and i can run about big events almost lagless, and oh boy i had two of them to see this weekend. EPOCH Legend and Spring Fashion 2012: Mix+Mesh and i also had to stop by at The Dressing Room.

I have been trying to keep up with most big event´s like Back to Black and The Festival of Sin since i started blogging more seriously, so my posts have featured items from these events regularly

I will start with EPOCH Legend, and what i can say is wow it involves 3 locations, a lot of amazing creators, a lot of imagination and 3 separate themes i fell in love with totally, and i probably would have ended up buying everything if i could. You can also follow their blog, shopping guide, or their Flirck group, or visit the Creator´s Café.

I did do some shopping from all 3 locations and will try to post to each of the 3 themes, so here it is the first one, clowning:

I have to confess one thing, I hate clowns, they terrify me, i get shivers and cold sweats when i see one, a picture of one, and sometimes a simple red nose.

Everything about clowns screams to me sleazy and creepy, and i used this pretty Love Soul makeup and hair/hat because it´s more of a Pierrot mood then actually more so clownish, i still could not get myself to take a full frontal pic of it, shame on me and my phobias.

I also got this lovely tent by Five minutes after a store i had never heard about but ran to as soon as i saw the tent in the shopping guide even before the event was open, and loved.

Tent: Five minutes after

The second big event i visit was Mix+Mesh, and i was amazingly disappointed by it, extremely high prices, lack of demos for mesh items (really? how does someone buy mesh without even trying it?), i also saw a lot of work done from templates about (that is not always a bad thing tho, some original work can come from templates), There was some good work there, i won´t deny it but overall it was a very big disappointment and i ended up not actually buying anything.

And finally The Dressing Room, god i love it so much and this time i love it even more, after a little controversy later in the week about their invited guest the organizers showed why i love this venue, fast response and admirable principles, so a big hurrah for The Dressing Room.

For now that´s it, remember i still have to do photographs for two more of EPOCH themes The Art of Escher and Beast.

52 Weeks of colour – Dandelion

I have never did 52 weeks of colours, Luna´s jubilee challenge, because i just happened to have this lovely dress with the perfect colours and mood for a waiting for spring blog.

It as been extremely fun to do pictures with snow and winter colors, but i guess everyone in sl is already a little tired of the cold, so here it is my first participation in 52 weeks of colour., Dandelion.

I love this dress the colour is gorgeous and vibrant, i had also never tried couvertoure before and was delighted to see their shop with quite a few lovely mesh items, their pillows are gorgeous, in the meanwhile i had just recived this lovely necklace from CoLLisions available for Taste of SL,

Sun/Moon+Projectors for Photography

The subject came up on plurk today thanks to Shay, and i found the time to do a little tutorial. The initial question was: How to get a nice picture in a simple background?

I asked if she was using projectors, since it is the simpler, easiest, and better resulting way to do it, apparently not many people know projectors yet, and is such a wonderful tool for not only photography, but hopefully also building in the future.

So since i had some time on my hands i did this little tutorial in 5 easy steps .

The final result (in this case with two projectors, to cast two shadows on the wall)

Spirit

This place is so beautiful, one of the most inventive and original places in SL in a long time.

Spirit by claudia222 jewel of which you can find more info on here and visit here is one of the most popular and well done installation in Second life at the moment and i couldn´t miss out on the chance to visit and take some photographs at.

So i packed up my things, some new pretties from my first blogger bags, something i collected at Festival of SIN, Back to Black, Flux, and another great recent find, the Meta Body Project, and headed down to enjoy the place who´s name Spirit, describes it so well.

My Nasty Sins

The Festival of SIN is up since Saturday, I stopped by on sunday morning trying to avoid the lag that is usual during these events.
After going tru most of it slowly, and mostly camming about, I managed to do some shopping, and reflected about all my nasty and delightful little sins.
Greed is one of my worst ones, of course like most bloggers I want all the things my hoarding abilities extend from everything, clothes, textures, shoes…And i can´t be stopped. Halp!!!

Wrath, it comes and it goes, sometimes it´s understandable, sometimes it´s not warranted like everyone else´s. Aww poor man who faces a woman´s wrath.

 I can´t sing, I never could, i tried honestly, to learn but even years in a choir did nothing, it´s a gift I certainly lack, while others where naturally born to do it and I definitely envy them.

This is the one sin i give into daily, gluttony, one of my many vices is chocolate, I know, I know. I love it so much, I cannot stay away from it, so what I decided some years ago is, have a little piece of chocolate everyday, it doesn´t have to be big, but have it.

Ah, Lust! Don´t we all lust for that special someone? I love you Darwie.

I try not to be proud but sometimes it will hold me back from picking up that phone and saying I´m sorry.

Sloth and telly go so well together, sometimes it doesn´t matter what´s even on, sometimes it´s just background noise, others is perfect for a bowl of popcorn and some cuddling in the couch.

I didn´t want to leave Back to Black on a negative note because there is always hope, love for everyone who´s life is affected. So no matter how dark and grey things are, there are always a few butterflies to catch and dance with so that joy can follow us where ever we go.

Stay…

This one is a very different kind of blog post, sometime ago while talking to a friend we talked about perspective and how people see the same situation in different ways.

So me and my partner decided to give this a try, we picked together 3 different poses each picked an outfit and each took 3 pictures in the same couple pose, the idea was to see how we see us in the same situation, and was lovely seeing myself tru his eyes.
